HOW TO CHOOSE A BASE FOR GEL POLISH
Share
The base is the first layer in many gel polish systems. Start with the product’s intended use and the requirements of the system you work with.
What to compare
A clear base provides a foundation under the colour coat. A rubber base is a flexible material; its specific levelling uses are described with the product. A camouflage base contains colour and can form part of a natural-looking or French manicure. Decorative bases add shimmer or particles.
Before application
Check that the base suits your chosen colour, top coat and lamp. Prepare the nail plate according to the system instructions, avoid skin contact and follow the stated layer thickness and curing time. Do not assume that all bases are applied in the same way.
Choose by specifications
Compare volume, consistency and available shades. If you are unsure about compatibility, contact the shop before ordering. Explore gel polish bases.
